At nearly 1.4 billion people China is the most populous nation on earth. It also faces massive population aging, on an unprecedented scale

By 2050 the population of over 60s in China will eclipse the entire population of the United States. This poses a serious problem, both economically and morally; what happens in China could set the stage for the rest of the world.
